Popular in California during the 50s and 60s Crackling wines are a style of crisp wine which can be very floral and refreshing with a lower volume of effervescence than that of Champagne. It is much more refreshing in that aspect.
Our crackling wine we made is made from 2 of the most exotic varieties of fruit we know of in this beautiful state, Asian Pears and Malvasia Bianca grapes! The asian pears lend a beautifully tart and crisp note with great acidity followed by intense floral character from the Malvasia Bianca. There is a big floral nose on this wine of Honeysuckle and Jasmine followed by strong white tropical fruit notes and a dry minerality to the finish.
